Preschool sense of smell sensory activity

Today was a pretty gloomy day we needed a quiet engaging activity while the babies I watch got some much-needed sleep.

This was perfect and did the trick!

I grabbed a lemon, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and pickle juice and put them into my munchkin cups. You could use jars, plastic cups, Tupperware, or just about any small container.

I then taped up the top and poked holes.

We got right to using our noses to identify the four smells!

We all really liked the vanilla extract and my special boy wanted to drink the pickle juice lol!!! They had lots of fun swirling the container and smelling them.
