I could write a romance novel about this granola! It's one of the most delicious things that I've ever eaten. The funny part about that statement is that I'm not really a nut lover and I also do not particularly like coconut yet that's pretty much all that's in this granola. Undoubtedly a lot of the deliciousness comes from the 100% pure maple syrup in the recipe calls for.
But really the blend of nuts is awesome. Like eat all the little bitty pieces at the bottom of the bag good. Poor the crumbs in the bag into your mouth good. Not be able to put it down good. Ok i'll say it, this granola recipe is damn good!
We are thinking the next time that we make this we will try 1/4 c of maple syrup. I will definitely let you know but I think it will be more than fine. After my two pregnancies I got the deepening hunger for sweets. This absolutely does the trick! I've been eating the recommended serving size on the store-bought granola we have. Although the inside of the store bought granola has not seen the light of day and might never again! There is just absolutely no comparison.
The honest truth is the hardest part was buying all of the ingredients. But I got everything at Aldi and I think I will be able to make one to two more batches with the supplies I got. But it's worth it if it keeps cake, brownies, and cookies from entering my mouth I'm golden!!
I hope you whip some up and let me know what you think!
