Donut craft for letter D

I just can’t believe how cute these turned out! Like I can’t even handle it! When I said we were going to make donuts the kids went nuts! Because they thought we were making actual donuts. Ha ha ha ummmm no! Paper plate donuts guys be real. I don’t need you guys anymore energetic than you already are! I’m secretly wishing that I was actually making donuts because let’s face it, donuts are delicious. But I definitely wouldn’t share them with the kids. No definitely not. Without significant amounts of sugar they run around like there are on Redbull! The energy of kids never ceases to amaze me. And if I could have like an 1/8 of their energy I would be golden. Seriously.

Supplies

  • Paper plates
  • Paint
  • Paint brushes
  • Glue
  • A circle to trace
  • Puff paint
  • Construction paper

I traced a large coffee mug in the middle of the plate and then cut it out. I then let the kids pick out the color of the frosting and they painted the donuts. I had to kind of even out the edges a little bit for them but overall they did a pretty good job. When the frosting dried I then took puff paints and made the sprinkles. When that dried I glued the donuts to the construction paper. I then wrote the sayings. If you look on Pinterest there are like 1 million different little sayings that include donut. It was fairly easy and I will probably be making more donut crafts in the future! Maybe for Valentine’s Day! I just love them!!
